Merry Christmas

With Christmas next week and people traveling for the holidays we decided to go ahead and make this our last blog of 2008.

We want to offer a warm thank you to all our supporters for an amazing year. Bound4LIFE has grown to nearly 200 chapters in 46 states and 7 countries. And, through Bound4LIFE’s ThinkFAST initiative, students in over 700 schools across the nation fast lunch every Friday and pray for the ending of abortion. Your support has made this movement possible and with your help we will continue to fight knowing that “right makes might”.

Starting in January, we will be hitting the ground running once again with daily blog posts so make sure to sign up via our RSS feed. Our contributors for this up coming year will be: Bound4LIFE CEO Matt Lockett, Founder of Organic Visual and Video/Media expert Levi Bethune, Cathy Coburn, and Ian Kelly.

From all of us here at Bound4LIFE International,

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

What Bound4LIFE and Margaret Sanger Have in Common

As a follow up post to yesterdays Margaret Sanger interview I thought I would share what Sanger thought about abortion. I think it may surprise you that Bound4LIFE and Margaret Sanger have something in common. Check this out:

“In her 1938 autobiography, Sanger notes that her 1916 opposition to abortion was based on the taking of life: ‘To each group we explained what contraception was; that abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer way—it took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun.” (Margaret Sanger, An Autobiography. New York: W. W. Norton. pp. 217.)

Whoa! Someone needs to tell Planned Parenthood about this. Sanger herself said abortion is taking a life, shouldn’t they accept that as well? No. Even if they wanted to, they couldn’t. The deceptions that Planned Parenthood purveys are about one thing: Proving a point. It doesn’t matter if they are right or wrong they just want to win. And who suffers for this? The unborn.

Ok, back to Sanger. Is it more than just a little ironic that Planned Parenthood fights for abortion but their founder thinks it’s wrong? Really what needs to happen is Planned Parenthood needs to come out and tell the truth. They need to say something like: Abortion is taking a life and we are fighting for the right for women to choose whether or not to take (kill) the life of their child. Then let the nation decide. At least then they would be honest.

You can read more about Margaret Sanger by going here or you can read the truth behind eugenics and abortion on our website.

Mike Wallace Interviews Margaret Sanger

On, September 21st, 1957, Mike Wallace sat down with Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and asked her about birth control, divorce, and sin. This is an eye-opening interview and is well worth the time it takes to watch. You can watch or read the interview here and is number 21 from the top.

Taylor’s Story

The following story was sent to us last Friday and is posted with consent.

“I am sixteen years old. My sister found out she was pregnant on November 17. Although she was scared out of her mind, she knew she would love the baby. On Wednesday last week, she started to bleed. The doctors told her not to worry, that sometimes that happens. When she started to clot, we knew something was wrong. My sister may have only known she was carrying a gift from God for a short time, but she loved the baby from the beginning. We found out on Sunday that she miscarried. Seeing her breakdown like that, and holding her to let her know that she wasn’t alone, made me think about Bound4LIFE. I haven’t had much to do with it, but a few of my friends had. My sister was going to be a great mommy. And although the baby wasn’t planned, she made the right choice to keep it. How can someone else make the other choice? Tiffany and I chose Sunday to become active in Bound4life.”

Advancing Reproductive Rights

In a document titled “Advancing Reproductive Rights and Health in a New Administration” numerous pro-abortion groups call for billions of dollars in taxpayer money to help the cause of “reproductive rights”. This distribution of funds is nothing less than an attempt at rolling the abortion industry into a government subsidy. However, President-Elect Obama’s “first 100 days” of “change” is set to face off against a massive grass-roots campaign aimed at stopping the expansion of abortion funding.

“President-elect Barack Obama spoke of finding ‘common ground’ on abortion policy, but abortion advocacy groups clearly see an open door,” said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “After a decade of commonsense restrictions on taxpayer funding, the abortion industry thinks it deserves a bailout from President-Elect Obama. Today the Susan B. Anthony List launched its ‘Stop the Abortion Bailout’ campaign to mobilize thousands of activists across the country. Americans will send letters to their Senators with the goal of securing the 41 votes necessary to sustain a Senate filibuster of the abortion bailout. We look forward to delivering the votes Senator McConnell needs to ensure our hard-earned taxpayer dollars stay out of abortionists’ coffers, especially since national abortion numbers are already on the decline.”
